Analyze Your Kraken Portfolio with Professional Risk Metrics
Upload your Kraken Ledger CSV and get Sharpe, Sortino, max drawdown, BTC-beta, VaR, and 70+ institutional-grade metrics. Staking rewards, Earn payouts, and futures P&L all parsed automatically. No signup.
Use the Ledger Export, Not Trades
Kraken offers two export types. Choose the right one and everything downstream is easier.
| Export | Includes | Good For |
|---|---|---|
| Ledger | Every trade + staking + Earn rewards + deposits + withdrawals + fees, with USD equivalent at timestamp | Full portfolio analysis — this is what Foliolytic wants |
| Trades | Executed orders only (buys and sells), no rewards or transfers | Tax reporting for trading-only accounts with no rewards |
Always use Ledger. It's Kraken's most complete transaction log and the only one that captures staking rewards, Kraken Earn payouts, and crypto transfers — all of which meaningfully affect your risk-adjusted returns.

Which Kraken export should I use — Trades or Ledger?
Always use the Ledger export, not Trades. The Ledger export is Kraken's most complete transaction history: it includes buy/sell fills, staking rewards, Kraken Earn payouts, crypto deposits and withdrawals, and fiat transfers — all with the exact USD equivalent at the timestamp of each event. The Trades export only shows executed orders without rewards or transfers.
How do I export my Kraken Ledger?
Log into Kraken web (not the app). Click History in the top menu, then Export in the top right. Select Ledger, set the date range to All time, and click Submit. Kraken generates the CSV within seconds. Download the file when ready.
Does Foliolytic correctly handle Kraken trading pairs like BTC/EUR or ETH/USDT?
Yes. Kraken lets you trade against USD, EUR, GBP, USDT, and other base currencies. Foliolytic resolves every trade to USD using the exchange rate at the exact timestamp of each fill, pulling daily FX rates and crypto prices from its own database. Your P&L, XIRR, and risk metrics are all computed in a single USD view regardless of the trading pair used.
Are Kraken staking and Earn rewards included?
Yes. Kraken's Ledger export includes every staking reward, flexible Earn payout, and bonded Earn reward as a separate ledger entry with the received quantity and USD equivalent. Foliolytic parses these as income inflows with zero cost basis and incorporates them into XIRR, total return, and the income breakdown view.
Does Foliolytic work with Kraken Futures?
Yes. Kraken Futures maintains a separate export (available in the Futures web interface under Reports). The realized P&L CSV can be uploaded alongside your spot Ledger export and Foliolytic merges them into a unified portfolio. Unrealized futures positions are marked to current price when you upload.
